About the Artist:
Lynsey Moon is a Massachusetts-based artist, singer, songwriter, ukulele player, and bunny enthusiast. Ever since she was able to hold a crayon, Lynsey has been inclined towards the arts. Whether singing in the shower, playing the piano, or doodling in her sketchbooks, she has always found time to be creative.
At the age of seven, Lynsey was accepted to the New England Conservatory for composition, where she held frequent private recitals. She spent about seven years taking lessons and composing pieces for piano and violin before deciding to focus more on her schoolwork.
It wasn't until her sophomore year in college when Lynsey fell back into music, performing on the piano in small coffeehouses with her friends. From here, she would go on to purchase her first ukulele and join her first band, which led her back to performing in front of large crowds. She has since performed and recorded with Christian Nesmith, Circe Link, Eytan Mirsky, Jake Slichter, Lee Wiggins, Paul Melançon, Jonny Daly, Matt Brown, and Pete McDade, to name-drop a few. Her music has also been featured on local radio stations 88.9 FM (WERS) and 92.5 FM (The River).
A few years ago, Lynsey joined a Facebook group for musicians, which inspired her to get back into the music scene. This led her into the world of recording, and she would eventually put out three EPs, titled Muscle Memory, Leased, and her latest, wabi-sabi, released in 2016. She also explored her love of writing and published her first book of poetry, Cerebral Songs. Her second book, Fever Dreams, was published about a year later. She is currently working on writing and recording more music, and playing live shows solo, or with her band, The Wormtown Mugwumps.
